While I was visiting the 21 California Missions in June 2012, I unexpectedly drove past the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library, so I decided to stop and check it out! Boy, am I glad I did! It was an incredible display of American history! Although Ronald Reagan was born and raised in Illinois, he moved to Hollywood, California and became an actor in 1937. He later became California's 33rd Governor from 1967-1975 before he became the 40th President of the United States from 1981-1989. The Reagan Presidential Library showcases an actual slab of the Berlin Wall, an exact replica of Reagan's Oval Office, the suit Reagan was wearing during his attempted assassination, and you can actually take a tour of Reagan's Air Force One (the official Presidential airplane) as well as other Presidential motor and aircraft. Reagan is also buried on the grounds. If you are ever driving through the hills of Simi Valley, plan on making a stop at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library!
